~MERRY CHRISTMAS from Craft Us Crazy and KennyK Downloads~

This week at Craft Us Crazy we've decided to do a surprise challenge and we have a great sponsor to go along with it.....
The challenge this week, is of course...Christmas and/or Humorous for those who might not celebrate Christmas. I would personally like to thank Kenny and Elena for this great image I got to work with this challenge, and I have a few more coming throughout the next two weeks. They're so much fun to play with!! And the winner of our challenge will win 5 digital images!!! So what ya waiting for? Come on over and join us!!

So without further ado, here's Queen's Cutie wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!!
Believe it or not this is the first time I've ever colored a KennyK image. To be honest, I've always been intimidated by them. Never thought I would do them the justice that they deserve, but I do believe that Queen's Cutie turned out pretty nice. So you better believe I'll be adding more of these images to my shopping list!
I tried to make my card look like a present, with the great Loopy Loopy Bow from The Cutting Cafe. This file was another fun addition to play with. I chose to print each of the pdf files off instead of using my cutter. I wanted to see how easy it would be, and I was right, it was just as easy printing and cutting by hand, as it was using my cutter. I really had so much fun making this card. The papers are from DCWV Christmas Stack and I done the "Merry Christmas" with the font Broadway and chose to distress the edges of each layer. Pulled out a button and some twine from The Twinery, and voila! She's ready to go wish someone a very Merry Christmas!!!

I hope that everyone has a very safe and happy holidays over the next few weeks. I wish you all the happiness and laughter that Christmas brings. I pray that everyone has a VERY SAFE and fun New Year's Eve as well. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!!  MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

~Sketchy Inspiration at The Sweet Stop~

Happy Monday!! Well hopefully it'll be a happy Monday for everyone! It's a cold one here in Arizona, so I think a day of crafting and keeping warm is in order!!
I came across a great challenge at The Sweet Stop, a sketch challenge, which I hardly ever do, but I loved this one for some reason. So, I decided to give it a try. I made this card for a dear friend of mine that lost her husband a few days ago. I hope it lets her know how much we're all thinking about her. We love you Mary!

On to the sketch... The sketch below is what we were to follow at The Sweet Stop. We could turn it, flip it, change the shape but needed to stay as close as we could to it, so I believe I accomplished that. Sometimes it's nice to have that inspiration, whether a picture, a sketch, an idea to jumpstart your creative juices.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my card. I appreciate ya taking the time out of your busy day! Have a great week!!

~Thinking of You with Daisy~

Happy Saturday!! Who's ready for the LSU/UGA game?? anyone...anyone?? I am!! I'm not a LSU fan, but I can't stand UGA, so I'll be rooting for LSU tonight and then waiting for Alabama to roll all over them in the National Championship Game! Anywho..on with why we're here lol
I made this card for a family member that's going through a tough time right now, so I wanted her to know that I was thinking about her. I do believe that this adorable Elisabeth Bell stamp, does just that. Daisy is lost in thought wishing that she could say or do something to make her day a little bit better! Daisy and I hope that we put a little smile on her face, if only for a few seconds.

~Having Fun With Penguins~

Wow it's been awhile. Surprised I remember how to post on here. So much has happened over the past month or so. My youngest son had a wreck last month and it totally knocked the sails out from beneath me, but I think we're slowly getting back to normal again. A few more weeks and he gets his cast off and starts rehab. It could've been so much worse, so we're blessed that he was able to walk away with a few broken bones.

Anyways, with everything going on my mojo totally left me. I wasn't sure when and if it would return. Then an email came through from The Cutting Cafe, and it was some fun new items Regina was releasing. In it was a set called Fun with Penguins, and she was so right, it was so much fun to play with!! As soon as I seen that cute little penguin, something sparked and I had to play with it!!! So with that, I set off to see what fun I could have with him, and fun I had. Put it this way, I think I cut him out with my Pazzles and Make The Cut around 9pm last night and the next time I looked at my clock it was 4:30am. Then I came back in tonight and put him together once everything was good and dry.  Everything I used on my cute little penguin comes in the set, including the sentiment you see on the flag, but you'll have many choices if you want to give as a birthday present and so forth.
I hope you enjoy checking out the pictures and hope you'll check The Cutting Cafe store for your own dose of fun and crafting mojo!!! Most all of the files and sets come in PDF, WPC and SVG format.
and below you can see the Glossy Accents I added to the front and back of the body to give it a shine

Phew!! I had to do some dusting around here and getting rid of some cobwebs before I could get in here and do this posting!! It's been awhile and I've missed yall!! Due to some family issues, I've been having a sort of pity party for myself, but I finally decided that I've overstayed my welcome and I had to leave, so I'm back!!! Well for a few months and then I'll be away for a bit because we're MOVING!! We're not sure where yet...gotta love the military lol but we know we have to be there by Jan 3rd. But anyways, enough about me and my glorious life, lets get on to this weeks challenge at CRAFT US CRAZY!
Our challenge this week is ANYTHING GOES and The Pixie Cottage at Michelle's Scrapbooking & More is sponsoring us!! Michelle supplied our DT with some beautiful stamps, and I was lucky enough to work with Hannah sitting on bench, which is now my absolute favorite stamp!! I knew immediately WHO I wanted to make it for, but I didn't know how I wanted to do it, so I went on the hunt for some inspiration!! AND BOY DID I FIND IT!!! So this card was inspired by Anne at Anne's Creative World!! I love finding inspiration, its amazing what creative juices it'll stir up in you when you find that perfect project! I love easel cards, but when I seen Anne's tag behind the image, I thought that was such a great idea, and something I had never done before. So Anne, if you see this, thank you for inspiring this project!!
So we hope you'll join us at Craft Us Crazy this week, and don't forget you'll have an awesome chance at winning a $10 Gift Voucher from Michelle's Scrapbooking & More!

Hope this card inspires you in some way and as always, thanks for looking!!

~Lili Of The Valley...Love Grows..Inspired by my fabulous friend Wendy~

Happy Monday night to everyone!!! I swear it's only May 2nd, and it feels like it's been May for a few weeks now. It seems like April and May has been like a run on in my home If it's not ONE thing, it's a million I tell ya!! Anyways, I'm running late, as usual, but wanted to post my card that I made for my husband for our 19th Anniversary today and then it's on to another card that I'll be posting hopefully tomorrow...God willing!

Anyways, this card was inspired by my dear friend Wendy, and you can find all her wonderful creations HERE and her Etsy store is HERE! She has been such an inspiration to me over the past year or so since I came across her blog through a challenge she entered, that I will never be able to thank her enough for all her help, tips and advice. I may not always take her shopping advice I try and she tries to save me money, and my husband thanks her for it, but I'm stubborn in that department still lol So thank you Wendy, yet again for being my inspiration with this project!! You can find her beautiful card that this card was CASE'd from HERE.
So be sure to look at some of those projects folks are entering in all of these challenges. You never know what creative talents you'll come across. I have learned so much from so many in the blogging and challenge world!! Speaking of challenges, we have a great one at Craft Us Crazy right now... Moms and Flowers..and I think this card fits that theme perfectly!!!
The printed papers that I used are from the Basic Grey line... Lollipop Shoppe. The solid metallic type paper is from DCVW..I'll have to see which's leaving my brain right now. The beautiful image is from Lily Of the Valley called Love Grows and you can find it HERE.  The Happy Anniversary sentiment is from the Love Sentiments set at Doodle Pantry and it can be found HERE. I changed it from black to a deep red and put a drop shadow on it, hopefully you can see it. I colored this beauty with Copics, and I have to say this is probably one of the first images that I've colored that I've really liked, and hope you do as well!!
Thanks for looking and I hope to see you joining us over at Craft Us Crazy!! We have some great sponsors this challenge, so head over and check out all details!! Let me just say..
is there anything else to say!!! I didn't think hurry over for your chance of winning some great prizes from one of these awesome sponsors!!!

~Monthly Inspiration at The Cutting Cafe & Giveaway~

We're having a new monthly inspiration over at The Cutting Cafe!!!  The DT challenge was to use Shaped cards and the samples are super spectacular!! I chose to post a few shaped cards that I posted over the past that were my favorites. I love the shapes of them and they're soooo easy to work with!!

So head on over to the link below and you could possibly win your choice of 3 shaped card templates just for leaving a comment!
Just click here to see all the DT creations!! Such yummy and awesome talent and creativity!!

This week's challenge at One Stitch At A Time is to MAKE IT SASSY, and I do think this image is sassy and HOT!!! If any of you are familiar with an awesome artist Keith Garvey, then you'll recognize this beauty below. Garv is extremely popular in the tagging world. You can see a lot of Garv's work at his site HERE but be warned that's it's very adult in nature! Garv is considering allowing Stitch to carry some of his artwork as digi's, so I was lucky enough to be asked to guest design and use one of these beauties!!

I took the layout and sketch from a previous card I made. I thought it would work with this image as well, with a different sentiment, which I chose since my 19th anniversary is coming up in a few weeks. Too bad I didn't really look like this lol but I'm sure if my husband closes his eyes, holds his breath, turns the lights off and bangs his head against the headboard a few times, I'd be a close 2nd hahaha
Anyways, enough of me...I hope you enjoy my card and THANK YOU to Garv and Stitchy for allowing me to work with this awesome image called SMOKIN'! Hopefully Garv will be a regular at Stitchy Bear Stamps very soon!!!

This beauty was colored using my copics, and then glossy accents put over her lips and undergarments. Sentiment was made using the font LD Soccer MOm....hey Soccer mom's can be sexy too!!!!
Anyways, thanks for looking and hope you enjoy!!!

The cutting cafe blinkie

Happy Hump Day and Happy Spring!!
It's a beautiful day here in Arizona! Bright and sunny with a nice breeze! Weather just like I like it. Hopefully it won't be too harsh of a summer or Monsoon season this year. The Cutting Cafe has some adorable new little girl images. Regina definitely took me back to my paper doll days with these little beauties!
For my project this week, I chose to make a Spring sign and really wanted to work with Elisha Jean from the Everyday Elisa Jean and Friends release. I gave her a nice paper pieced dress from my DCWV Spring Stack. Again back to my paper doll days! I then pulled out this cute Spring Title Printable Stamp, also from The Cutting Cafe, choosing to use the colored version printed multiple times to give it depth, and then using patterned paper for my background on my sign from my DCWV Spring Stack!

I used Copics
Hair - C3, C5, C7
Skin - E25, E33, E34
Bow, Socks & Shoes - Y17, E17, R20, R22
I used various ribbons from my ribbon wall and a piece of chipboard to give my sign sturdiness.
Elisha Jean looks so cute on my Spring sign but she and her friends, Ruby J and Mikala Ann, would make adorable paper dolls for that special girl in your life!!!

The cutting cafe blinkie
Welcome to another Cutting Cafe Monthly Inspiration!!! This month Regina challenged us to use backgrounds. I chose to use the Time 2 Background Printable Stamp. Unbelievably the school year will be coming to an end soon. It feels like this year, especially the school year, has just flown by so far. And what does that mean...GRADUATION! So I figured I'd get a few cards made up in case my boys had any friends graduating this year, and if not, I can put it up for my nephew that will be graduating next year, since it's done in his school colors. Anyways, graduation makes me think of TIME...time that you've spent studying, time that you've spent planning out your future, time that you've spent in school since you were a wee little thing, and the time that you will always feel you're up against as you're moving down your new path in life.
Along with this background image, I also used the Happy Graduation Huge Circle Set and the Ribbons Sentiments Banner Set & Shaped Card that you can find at The Cutting Cafe as well. I love the Ribbons Sentiments Banner set, it's so versatile and along with the backgrounds, you could make so many quick cards to keep on hand.

Be sure to check out the Cutting Cafe Monthly Inspiration post at The Cutting Cafe on Wednesday, March 16th for your chance to win 3 stamp sets of your choice from The Cutting Cafe store and some brilliant inspiration from our design team.

The cutting cafe blinkie
Happy Sunday!!! Boy did this weekend fly by rather quickly, at least to me it did. I can say it was an entertaining weekend but I'd be lying. I'm actually glad it's almost over. But anyways, I did find some time to make this birthday card with the NEW! Ribbon Sentiments Banner Set & Shaped Card that was just released over at The Cutting Cafe! Regina has done it again by creating a wonderful stamp set! You can't go wrong with 48 images and a shaped card cutting file for only $4.99! So many possibilities with this set and so fun to play with. I used a freebie image from Cuddly Buddly, I thought it was cute little birdie. I can see many more cards made with the Ribbon Sentiments Banner Set in my future! I have quite a few birthdays coming up in the next couple of weeks. So one down...upteen more to go!
I hope you enjoy my card and hope that it inspires you to find some time and create something for yourself or someone special! And if it doesn't, then there's creativity and inspiration surrounding us all over blog land and especially at THE CUTTING CAFE! I hope the upcoming week is a great one for everyone!
