~SLOWLY BUT SURELY....With the help from THE CUTTING CAFE and CRAFTSUPRINT~

Good Morning everyone!! Please forgive any mistakes that I may make in this write up. I've pulled an all-nighter once again, so I may overlook something lol I'm slowly getting my Christmas cards completed and out the door. With the order I had for my brother, the passing of my sweet Grandma, and trying to get all the Christmas chores done (which I still haven't gotten my Christmas tree up yet..oops) it has been a crazy week, so I'm a little late getting this post up. It should've been up this weekend, so I fall all my knees in shame..lol

For my project this week (last week..shhh..lol) I used a few decoupage sheets from CraftsuPrint along with some wonderful card greetings from The Cutting Cafe! Again so much versatility with the files and stamps you can get at The Cutting Cafe! These are specifically Inside Greetings but as you can see, I was able to use them on the front of my card as well.
Also I have a few more gift boxes that I done for my brother using some of the new cut outs that Regina posted a few days ago, along with the Christmas Circles Set 2 for the tags.

Ok so enough blabbing from me...I hope you enjoy my cards, and it inspires you to get those last few cards made and out the door! Don't forget to swing by The Cutting Cafe and check out all the new files that Regina has going up!

~FIVE UNDER $5 at THE CUTTING CAFE~

Hello everyone!!! I wanted to stop by tonight and post a project I've been working on the past few days. They're really quick and easy to make, but I've had kiddos to take to and from work, chores *blech*, and bill paying. And speaking of bills, everyone needs a way to save on money during the holiday season. There never seems to be enough to go around anymore. So for this project I call it, 5 Under $5. Because that's all it would take to make these five boxes and even a few more actually.
You can find the Candy Cane Holder Box..Template/Cutting File at The Cutting Cafe for ONLY $2.25. With that $2.25 you get 4 different Box templates. The Christmas tree box shown I used the Christmas Tree Goodie Bag and traced it on to the solid box template. It costs only $1.50!! For the embellishments, I used ribbons that I already had on hand, that I had picked up from the Dollar Tree and Big Lots for $1, and little Jingle Bells that I had in my stash that I had got from Wal-mart a while back. The little Christmas ornament balls, I picked up at Target for $1and there's 16 in each tube. So for about $4.75 I was able to make these cute little boxes with different types of Candy Canes in each one. And the papers, I already had on hand as well.
The good thing is, you could fill each one with whatever you'd like, and use whatever embellishments and papers you already have on hand, saving even MORE money!!!
I hope you like them and that it inspires some money saving creativity for you this holiday season!!
Thanks for looking as always!

~WITH SYMPATHY.....THE CUTTING CAFE~

The cutting cafe blinkie
Happy Thursday!! And it's a happy Thursday because that means its the weekend VERY soon, and that also means we're closer to Thanksgiving! I love fixing a big dinner for Thanksgiving. I miss however going to my moms or getting with my sister, but being in the military I've had to give that up a lot of years. BUT I have grown to enjoy cooking the big dinner for my own family. The boys love it and they usually have a few friends come over, as well as my husband inviting a few of the soldiers that can't get home. So its a great time.
My card this week is a Sympathy card using quite a few files and printable sets from The Cutting Cafe. With my grandma being so sick right now, it hit me that 'Sympathy' cards are one thing I don't have a lot of. So I drew inspiration from my grandma and family and came up with this sweet card. I think I'll be making another one of these when the time comes for my mother. These flowers will last so much longer than any other plant or flower or could send home.
Regina at The Cutting Cafe has so many wonderful images and sets to use to let someone know you're thinking of them when you can't be there. And so many of them can are versatile so you can use them together or by themselves.
So anyways, I hope you enjoy my card and you have a wonderful weekend!!!

~Taking Care of Business...thanks to Bugaboo and Totally Gorjuss~

Hello again!!! I have a card to post for everyone today!! I know..it's been awhile since I actually done a card. I've been on an altered projects kick here lately, but thought I'd throw a card in today. I love this lil image from Bugaboo Stamps. It reminds me of my own 7year old Rottweiler baby, Bama.
For this card, I used the challenge sketch this week over at Totally Gorjuss! The bottom corner of the sketch really had me thinking though. I was at a total loss, as to what I could go with that would fit the theme of the card. And then I remembered my glass pebbles and my 'skittles'. So I decided to use them to look like, hmmm, well pee around the hydrant lol and then had the bright idea to form it into the shape of a paw print..I know cheesy..but it worked lol
The inside has the sentiment "Congratulations on taking care of business!"
Again thanks for looking and hope it inspires some creativity somewhere!!

~SNOWMAN SOUP NESTING IN BOXES...THE CUTTING CAFE~

The cutting cafe blinkie
Finally the weekend!! It couldn't have come soon enough really. It has been one of those weeks but at least I got to play with some awesome sets from The Cutting Cafe to get through it!!
After a few burnt fingers, I can say I got reacquainted with my embossing gun and powders. I forgot how much I enjoyed working with it, well minus the burnt flesh, but that will be better next time. It was just the tag I was working on and was a little impatient, so it was my own fault lol Regina has released such cute sets and scriptures this week over at The Cutting Cafe, you really need to head over and take a look!! I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!
For this weeks project, I worked with the newly released FUN WITH FROSTY THE SNOWMAN - PRINTABLE STAMP SET & the 3 NESTING BOXES CUTTING FILES/TEMPLATES. I used the quite a few pieces from the Frosty set, such as Frosty himself, icicles, Snowman Soup Poem, Icicle background, but theres so many pieces to this set that you can create with. The creative possibities with this set are endless this holiday season. Each box contains a different portion of the 'Snowman Soup'. The top box I put some peppermint candies, middle box has a little bag of marshmallows, and the third box has a few different flavor pouches of Hot Chocolate, and then attached two "stirring sticks" behind the 'Snowman Soup' recipe. Thanks for taking the time to check out my project and I hope to see you creating something with this set really soon!!! Have a great weekend!!

~HAPPY HALLOWEEN from THE CUTTING CAFE~

Happy Halloween!!!!
I love Halloween, one of my most favorite holidays with Christmas being number one! I wanted to get this posted earlier, but phew, it was a lot of work. Only because "I" made it a lot of work, which is usually the problem with anything I do...lol But I do have to admit, that I had so much fun making this banner! It's rather large, so I had problems on finding a spot to hang it to get pictures. That was a whole new job in itself lol My husband was still in bed and I'm rather short, so I tried hanging it in a corner of my craft room so that I could snag some pictures, but I wasn't really happy with it, as you can see what I mean. You can't really see it.
So luckily, the old man woke up just in the nick of time to take it into our family room and hang it up on our high wall for me. I used two of the Halloween Printable Sets from
The Cutting Cafe for this project.
The thing I love the most about the Banner set is that there's blank banner templates that you could make your own sayings, not just Halloween. I used Seed Bead Wire to hang altered "Charms" from the banner lettering. They were originally poker chips lol
Also..in appreciation for all the awesome customers that visit The Cutting Cafe, Regina is generously offering a free Stamp Set!!! It's called December Daily 2 and it's FREE until November 6, 2010 -- 11:59PM(PACIFIC TIME) .. Go HERE to get all the details and to download this awesome set!!

~2 IN 1 GAME SET...TRICK OR TREAT...GO FISH & MEMORY~

The cutting cafe blinkie

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful crafting weekend!! It was a great weekend here. The Vikings beat the Cowboys yesterday so my weekend ended on a high note!! Better than that, my week is beginning on that same high note with a new project using an awesome printable set!! Todays project uses the Halloween Mini Colored Set Printable Stamps from The Cutting Cafe! I loved working with this set as I do all of Regina's awesome creations. For some reason I have been on a gaming kick, maybe its all the Halloween Parties I hear being planned, so I decided to stay with that theme.
This week I made a 2 in 1 Game set. It started out as Go Fish, but ended up Go Fish and Memory!! I used an old deck of cards and covered the front with the printable stamp from the Halloween Mini Colored Set and then I colored the back with printed Halloween paper from DCWV. I couldn't find a box that fit the card shape since the cards were alot thicker after adding both papers to the front and back, and then I remembered these little baskets my sister had given me a few years ago. I stripped them down, repainted them and gave them more of a Halloween look. I added this cute lil witch from Stitchy Stamps called "Can I Go Too?". The cards fit in the little basket perfectly! I hope ya like it and thanks for looking!!
I hope you'll head over to The Cutting Cafe and check out all the great new things Regina is releasing in the store!! Don't forget that Thanksgiving is right around the corner and she's got some wonderful new releases that would help decorate your invites and tables this season!!

~B-I-N-G-O!!!!!! Halloween Bingo with The Cutting Cafe that is!!!!~

The cutting cafe blinkie
Phew what a week!! Without having some craft projects to do this week, I would've surely went over the deep end lol Thank gosh the weekend is here and hopefully that will bring a better upcoming week.

But enough of that...on to my project that I have for you today. B-I-N-G-O!! As soon as I seen this set over at The Cutting Cafe, I knew I wanted to get it and play with it. Regina has once again made a terrific and fun stamp set for the Halloween season. The awesome thing about Regina's sets are that they contain the pdf file and cutter files, which with this project I used both. Along with the Halloween Bingo Printable Stamp Set, I used the 8 x 5.5 Inch Box with Dividers to hold my Bingo set. My cards, tokens and box bottom were done with the PDF printing file, and my top was done using my Cricut expression and Make the Cut program. Since I used a heavy chipboard for the bottom, to give it more sturdiness, I had to do some altering with the box top, to get it to fit over the bottom. So I opened it up in Make the Cut, resized and Voila! All done!! I also made two handmade Halloween bags to hold the markers and Bingo tokens with some fabric I had from previous seasons purchased from Walmart.

Once again thank you for stopping by my blog and checking out my project. I hope it inspires you to head over to The Cutting Cafe and make your own for someone special this Halloween Season!!

~THE CUTTING CAFE...Who says Spiders have to be Ugly!~

The cutting cafe blinkie
Wow, it's already Hump Day! Where do the hours go anymore. It'll be Halloween before we know it! I hope everyone is hard at work on their Halloween decorations, cards and projects. I'm working on a Halloween swap and thought my friends' daughter would get a kick out of this one. I'm hoping anyways lol

For this project I was inspired by Lorri's  "Drac In the box" project. I got her tutorial and template and tried to tweak it to make it my own. I took the box template and converted it over so that I could cut it with my Cricut using Make The Cut
The handle on the side, I used a brad where it will really spin around like the real Jack In The Box, if only I could've figured out how to make it pop open..lol Instead of using the Dracula that came with the tutorial, I switched it up and used the HUGE SPIDER PRINTABLE STAMP SET from The Cutting Cafe
I cut my spiders once again using Make The Cut and my Expression. That's the awesome thing about Regina's stamp sets, is that I can choose to cut by hand or use my cutting machine. I have to say since being with The Cutting Cafe DT, I have been using my Expression and Make the Cut more than I ever have, and am actually having fun with it. I hope you like my project and it inspires you to dust some tools off that you haven't used in awhile and bring them back to life! Thanks for looking!!
