The cutting cafe blinkie
Happy Thursday!! And it's a happy Thursday because that means its the weekend VERY soon, and that also means we're closer to Thanksgiving! I love fixing a big dinner for Thanksgiving. I miss however going to my moms or getting with my sister, but being in the military I've had to give that up a lot of years. BUT I have grown to enjoy cooking the big dinner for my own family. The boys love it and they usually have a few friends come over, as well as my husband inviting a few of the soldiers that can't get home. So its a great time.
My card this week is a Sympathy card using quite a few files and printable sets from The Cutting Cafe. With my grandma being so sick right now, it hit me that 'Sympathy' cards are one thing I don't have a lot of. So I drew inspiration from my grandma and family and came up with this sweet card. I think I'll be making another one of these when the time comes for my mother. These flowers will last so much longer than any other plant or flower or could send home.
Regina at The Cutting Cafe has so many wonderful images and sets to use to let someone know you're thinking of them when you can't be there. And so many of them can are versatile so you can use them together or by themselves.
So anyways, I hope you enjoy my card and you have a wonderful weekend!!!

Before I get into my project that I'm posting today, I hope that everyone had a very nice and safe Veteran's Day! A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our Veteran's out there, past, present and future. I'm saying my thanks today because I feel every day should be THANK a Veteran day!! So THANK YOU!!!
I'm pretty pleased with my project today. I love this little girl from Stitchy Stamps and love the shaped frame card template that I used from The Cutting Cafe. This little girl represents the innocence of young children at Christmas and the beliefs they have in the magic of Santa! Even at age 38, I still have that magical belief because so many years, when times are hard, we still manage to have a nice Christmas. How I don't know sometimes, but there's just something magical about the season.
So anyways I hope you like my little card and I hope you and your family find that magic this holiday season!!

The cutting cafe blinkie
Hey there! Thanks for stopping by today. Are you getting tired of me yet?? lol There has been so much inspiration on so many blogs, that it has my creative mojo running right now. Well hopefully you'll think it's 'creative' mojo lol I really had a lot of fun making this Gift Tag set with Gift Box! I'm not sure where it will go yet, but I'm leaning towards maybe my mom..not sure yet.
For this project, I used the Square Box with Dividers, and left out the dividers because I made my tags a little too big, and I also used the Christmas in A Square Printable Stamp Set, both you can find at The Cutting Cafe!! Regina has some awesome digital stamps and stamp sets, as well as cutting files and she's adding new set/s daily so be sure to check them out.
I also used the digital stamp set from Stitchy Stamps called Ginger Folk Gift Tags and an adorable decoupage wobble card made by Mary Jane Harris and can be found at craftsUprint and left the wobble card part off and just used the lil Gingerbread in a cup Image.
I was inspired to make this project from the "Winter Wonderland" theme challenge over at One Stitch At A Time Challenge Blog. I don't get much of a WINTER Wonderland living here in Arizona, but it does get a little chilly, so for me, it reminds me of evenings around the fireplace with Hot Chocolate and warm Gingerbread Cookies.Which I always eat the poor little head off How do you eat your Gingerbread Cookies?
Anyways, I'll shut up now and show you a few more pictures.
Thanks for stopping by as always and I appreciate all your comments!!

~Taking Care of Business...thanks to Bugaboo and Totally Gorjuss~

Hello again!!! I have a card to post for everyone today!! I's been awhile since I actually done a card. I've been on an altered projects kick here lately, but thought I'd throw a card in today. I love this lil image from Bugaboo Stamps. It reminds me of my own 7year old Rottweiler baby, Bama.
For this card, I used the challenge sketch this week over at Totally Gorjuss! The bottom corner of the sketch really had me thinking though. I was at a total loss, as to what I could go with that would fit the theme of the card. And then I remembered my glass pebbles and my 'skittles'. So I decided to use them to look like, hmmm, well pee around the hydrant lol and then had the bright idea to form it into the shape of a paw print..I know cheesy..but it worked lol
The inside has the sentiment "Congratulations on taking care of business!"
Again thanks for looking and hope it inspires some creativity somewhere!!

The cutting cafe blinkie
Finally the weekend!! It couldn't have come soon enough really. It has been one of those weeks but at least I got to play with some awesome sets from The Cutting Cafe to get through it!!
After a few burnt fingers, I can say I got reacquainted with my embossing gun and powders. I forgot how much I enjoyed working with it, well minus the burnt flesh, but that will be better next time. It was just the tag I was working on and was a little impatient, so it was my own fault lol Regina has released such cute sets and scriptures this week over at The Cutting Cafe, you really need to head over and take a look!! I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!
For this weeks project, I worked with the newly released FUN WITH FROSTY THE SNOWMAN - PRINTABLE STAMP SET & the 3 NESTING BOXES CUTTING FILES/TEMPLATES. I used the quite a few pieces from the Frosty set, such as Frosty himself, icicles, Snowman Soup Poem, Icicle background, but theres so many pieces to this set that you can create with. The creative possibities with this set are endless this holiday season. Each box contains a different portion of the 'Snowman Soup'. The top box I put some peppermint candies, middle box has a little bag of marshmallows, and the third box has a few different flavor pouches of Hot Chocolate, and then attached two "stirring sticks" behind the 'Snowman Soup' recipe. Thanks for taking the time to check out my project and I hope to see you creating something with this set really soon!!! Have a great weekend!!
