~Runnin' A Lil Behind..Stitchy Stamps & More Inspiration~

This week at Sew Many Challenges we have an awesome sponsor for our "Christmas In August" challenge...Stitchy Bear Stamps!! Stitch is an awesome artist and lady, so you need to hurry over and check out all her images and the fun stuff they have going on at their challenge blog, One Stitch At A Time, as well!!
Stitch was generous as always and allowed our sponsor team to pick out an image to work with, and I chose "Lil Behind". She is absolutely adorable...the image that is...well Stitch is too, but we're on the image now!!..lol Anyways, as soon as I seen her, I knew exactly what I was going to use her for, my belated Birthday card for my Father-In-Law! Isn't sad when you know a month ahead that you're going to need a belated card lol And I was right! Maybe I can tell him I was distracted by mine coming up on Sunday That I forgot about his?? lol Hopefully when he gets it, he puts the sentiment inside the card with the image..we'll see...lol

I love checking out challenge entries because you never know what talents you'll come across, and that's exactly what happened today! We had an entry over at Sew Many Challenges and when I went to the blog, I discovered a blog of inspiration through Sketches! Arianne Addicks has some awesome sketches that you can use for inspiration on her blog, and thats exactly what I did with my card. You need to really check out her blog. Not only are her sketches great but her work is amazing!!

So what are you waiting for?? Grab ya some images at Sew Many Cards and Stitchy Bear Stamps and start creating!! We've got two great challenges for you to join in and have fun with!!

~CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST~

Aaaah I love Christmas!! So when challenges present themselves to help me get some of my Christmas projects completed ahead of time without the hustlin' and bustlin' of last minute creating, I take advantage. Every year I try to make a few new handmade ornaments for our Christmas tree and make a few as gifts. My goal is to have our entire Christmas tree all handmade ornaments, so we'll see how that goes and how long it takes me to get there lol

This week at Sew Many Challenges, our challenge is to exactly that. Make a Christmas themed project. So I took the opportunity to make another ornament for my tree. For this ornament I used the lovely Bear in Stocking image from Sew Many Cards! I think he's such a cutie looking over the top of the stocking. Reminds me of boys faces when they were younger and would keep getting up and checking their stockings to find that Santa hadn't came yet. With both of them leaving the 'nest' soon, it'll be a bittersweet happy reminder of those times as they're off starting their new journeys!

We hope you'll join us this week at Sew Many Challenges as we have
sponsoring us!! You have a chance of winning 3 digital images from the Stitchy Bear Store! I'll be posting another project later today using an adorable image that Stitch let me play with this week!! So be sure to check back!

Hope you like this weeks project and thank you for looking as always and for leaving such nice comments! They're all appreciated!

~Inspiration & an Anniversary~

Wow..two posts in less than a week. I must have a fever..lol Actually no, I've just found some great inspiration lately and wanted share what they inspired. During a past challenge over at Sew Many Challenges I came across a blog that totally blew me away with inspiration. Her name is Wendy and her blog is SugarPea Designs, which I've linked the direct post to the card she had entered, but you must take a look at her entire blog. Her work is amazing and inspires me with everything she posts! As soon as I seen her posting, I knew I wanted to CASE the image she used from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps Digi Stamps, but of course put my own twist to it, as not to rob her entire piece of art. So below you'll see what I came up with. I do want to thank Wendy for her kindness through her emails and all the inspiration she has shared with me and so many others!!

I've also just recently come across two other places that is full of inspiration and talent! Those two places would be Create with TLC and Baubles by Bri. This is a mother/daughter team and they are both so creative. It shows on both of their sites. Paulette, the owner of Create with TLC, shares her talents with everyone so freely, each and every day. She was so nice and kind to create the sentiment that I'm using across the bottom of my easel card. It wasn't a surprise to me though, Paulette is very kind on her blog to all of her followers with tons of freebies and creative sentiments for your images. Bri, her daughter, is a talented bracelet maker. You have got to check out her Etsy store at Baubles by Bri to see how the talent and creativity runs through this family!! As soon as I seen her Penguins Love Ice Cubes bracelet I knew it would be a great addition to the anniversary gift I was making for my nephew and his wife. They both love penguins, and I think it fit right in with the theme I was going with. This bracelet is beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice!

So to Wendy, Paulette, and Bri...thank you for the inspiration and the creativity that you share with all of us! It doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated!!
Ok enough jibberish from me...Below you'll find my 8 Drawer Easel card. My nephew and niece went to Sea World with us a few years back and we had such a great time. So the theme was inspired by that trip as well and the love I have for the both of them.
I hope you enjoy and thanks for looking!!!

Be sure to click on the pic below so that you can see a larger pic of the beautiful bracelet!
