~INSPIRATION PARTY at THE CUTTING CAFE~

We're having a party of inspiration this week at The Cutting Cafe!! I love inspiration time!! You can find such amazing and creative inspiration at The Cutting Cafe's blog this week. So make sure you go and check out all the lovely work from all of our Design Team! While you're there remember to stop back by on Thursday and leave a comment and you may be a lucky winner of 3 sets of your choice from The Cutting Cafe store!!
This week's inspiration, Regina asked us to use the PARTY HATs files! You have got to check these out!! They would work perfect for any celebration! I chose to work with the Fun with Party Hats Printable Stamp Set! I had such a great time working with this file. Maybe because I was making it for my youngest baby, who turned 18 on Feb 20th..or maybe because Regina's files are always fun to use and work with. I'm thinking it's both reasons!!

For my project, I started off with one of the Party Hats, taking it into my Paintshop Pro and adding the Miami Dolphins Logo to it. I erased the bottom portion of my logo so it looked as if the turquoise part was water and it was jumping from the water. I cut out another dolphin to layer the logo, and the same with the tassel part at the top, adding some feathers to it. But then I thought...February...Mardi Gras!!...soooooo
I turned it into a Mardi Gras party hat!!! I thought it turned out really cute and I think my son will love it. If for nothing else, to hang on his wall with the rest of his Miami Dolphins items!
Thanks for looking and hope you were inspired in some small way to make your own party hats!!

~SWEET INSPIRATION TIME at THE CUTTING CAFE~

We're giving you some SWEEEEEET Inspiration this week at The Cutting Cafe!! I love inspiration time!! You can find such amazing, creative and sweet inspiration at The Cutting Cafe's blog this week. So make sure you go and check out all the lovely work from all of our Design Team! While you're there remember to leave a comment and you may be a lucky winner of 3 sets of your choice from The Cutting Cafe store!!

This week's files can be dangerous if you're anything like me!! Of course if we're working with the awesome Candy Sentiments Printable sets you have to have the candy to go with it right?? Now you see why I say this is a dangerous week!!! Of course the project got candy, but then I have all this yummy sweet chocolatey candy leftover, and it always manages to find its way in my hands and then into my mouth lol

For this project I chose to use and eat TOOTSIE ROLLS!!!! Who doesn't love tootsie rolls? I thought this would be a cute project for my sons' girlfriend. So of course I had to have something to put the Tootsie Rolls in, so I went back to The Cutting Cafe store and grabbed this cute Square Box with Window template and Cutting file!!
I started off by bringing the Orange and brown Tootsie Roll background into my Paintshop Pro and changing the color to Purple...I love purple!! Once I had the color the way I wanted it, I put it back in my printer and printed off the Square Box with Window template on the backside and cut it out!! Yep I used my trusty scissors and hands for this one!! I cut a piece of clear plastic out of a box I had laying around for the window part. Very easy and quick to put together! Then I took one of the Sentiment tags that you'll get in this set and done some doodling with my stickles. So if you have a lot of school projects to get done, go snag these files and get to creating!!

~INSPIRATION TIME at THE CUTTING CAFE~

Happy Wednesday!!! Phew for a short week, this sure has been a hectic week! Maybe because I'm still trying to play catch up from last week, when my son felt it was necessary to pass on his stomach virus to me!! Boy that bug sure knocked me on my bottom! I hope and pray that none of you out there catches this thing!

Anyways, if it's Wednesday, that means its Inspiration Time over at The Cutting Cafe!!! This week, Regina asked us to use one of her Valentine treat boxes, bags, or pockets. I chose to work with the Heart Pockets, and since I missed last weeks inspiraiton due to illness, I chose to use the Long Sentiment Tags as well. I made this card to send to my mom for Valentine's Day. She loves reading her Bible and motivational books, so thought I wanted to give her a bookmark also. So when I seen the Heart Pockets files and the Long Sentiments Tags at The Cutting Cafe, I knew they would work perfectly together with what I wanted to do!!
I love the versatility of Regina's files. I loved the hearts pocket, but I wanted to position the hearts differently. So, I printed one of the files that was closest to what I was wanting, and then printed another copy for dissection. The first copy I used to make a blank pocket, and the second I used to cut out the hearts for placement onto the blank pocket. Just what I wanted!! And how can you beat 4 pockets for $1.50?? YA CAN"T!! So hurry over to The Cutting Cafe and check out this file along with all the other fabulous printable sets and files that Regina has. Remember that all files come in PDF format and most also come in WPC and SVG formats.
Thanks for looking at my project and don't forget to check out the rest of our teams Inspirational projects!!! Regina always has a great giveaway too...so be sure to stop by and leave your comments ... HERE.

~INSPIRATION AT THE CUTTING CAFE~

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!
Phew we've made it to Tuesday. For some of us, we're having a short week this week, and then next week its back to a full one. I already miss my husband being around the house, the holidays has a way of spoiling us! Today was Christopher's first day back to school after his car accident. It's definitely been a long few months, but a very THANKFUL one more importantly. We've got a few more months of rehab ahead, but he's a strong kid, so I know he'll pull through.  Also..I'm happy to announce that I've been chosen to rejoin the design team at The Cutting Cafe!! I'm so excited to be with Regina and all the ladies once again. I love all of Regina's files and stamps, so it's never hard coming up what to do with them, my hardest choice is which file to use, as you'll see below lol
With that being said, its Inspiration Time at The Cutting Cafe!! This week we were asked to work with the Loopy Loop Bow Flower! I love this file because it's so versatile, and it comes with the bow it two different forms...with the holes and a plain one. This file comes in PDF, WPC and SVG format, for those of us with electric cutters and without. For my bow, I used the PDF file, to show how easy and cute it comes out even if you use your old faithful scissors. This bow will work with whatever project you have going, it's all in the papers you use. So get those Valentine ideas flowing, and fit this lovely Loopy Loop Bow Flower into your sketch!!
For my project this week, I made a little set for my aunt's granddaughter, Olivia. They like to send mail to each other, so I thought they could use this during their craft time while she's at my aunt's house. Olivia has been under the weather recently so I hope this brings a smile to her face :)
and more pictures of inside the box using even more files from The Cutting Cafe!!!

Regina personalized some handmade labels for Olivia to use from the Handmade Just For You Labels
Thanks for checking out my project, and be sure to head over to The Cutting Cafe tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan 4, 2012) for more inspiration and a giveaway!!!
