~INSPIRATION PARTY at THE CUTTING CAFE~

We're having a party of inspiration this week at The Cutting Cafe!! I love inspiration time!! You can find such amazing and creative inspiration at The Cutting Cafe's blog this week. So make sure you go and check out all the lovely work from all of our Design Team! While you're there remember to stop back by on Thursday and leave a comment and you may be a lucky winner of 3 sets of your choice from The Cutting Cafe store!!
This week's inspiration, Regina asked us to use the PARTY HATs files! You have got to check these out!! They would work perfect for any celebration! I chose to work with the Fun with Party Hats Printable Stamp Set! I had such a great time working with this file. Maybe because I was making it for my youngest baby, who turned 18 on Feb 20th..or maybe because Regina's files are always fun to use and work with. I'm thinking it's both reasons!!

For my project, I started off with one of the Party Hats, taking it into my Paintshop Pro and adding the Miami Dolphins Logo to it. I erased the bottom portion of my logo so it looked as if the turquoise part was water and it was jumping from the water. I cut out another dolphin to layer the logo, and the same with the tassel part at the top, adding some feathers to it. But then I thought...February...Mardi Gras!!...soooooo
I turned it into a Mardi Gras party hat!!! I thought it turned out really cute and I think my son will love it. If for nothing else, to hang on his wall with the rest of his Miami Dolphins items!
Thanks for looking and hope you were inspired in some small way to make your own party hats!!

~SWEET INSPIRATION TIME at THE CUTTING CAFE~

We're giving you some SWEEEEEET Inspiration this week at The Cutting Cafe!! I love inspiration time!! You can find such amazing, creative and sweet inspiration at The Cutting Cafe's blog this week. So make sure you go and check out all the lovely work from all of our Design Team! While you're there remember to leave a comment and you may be a lucky winner of 3 sets of your choice from The Cutting Cafe store!!

This week's files can be dangerous if you're anything like me!! Of course if we're working with the awesome Candy Sentiments Printable sets you have to have the candy to go with it right?? Now you see why I say this is a dangerous week!!! Of course the project got candy, but then I have all this yummy sweet chocolatey candy leftover, and it always manages to find its way in my hands and then into my mouth lol

For this project I chose to use and eat TOOTSIE ROLLS!!!! Who doesn't love tootsie rolls? I thought this would be a cute project for my sons' girlfriend. So of course I had to have something to put the Tootsie Rolls in, so I went back to The Cutting Cafe store and grabbed this cute Square Box with Window template and Cutting file!!
I started off by bringing the Orange and brown Tootsie Roll background into my Paintshop Pro and changing the color to Purple...I love purple!! Once I had the color the way I wanted it, I put it back in my printer and printed off the Square Box with Window template on the backside and cut it out!! Yep I used my trusty scissors and hands for this one!! I cut a piece of clear plastic out of a box I had laying around for the window part. Very easy and quick to put together! Then I took one of the Sentiment tags that you'll get in this set and done some doodling with my stickles. So if you have a lot of school projects to get done, go snag these files and get to creating!!

~INSPIRATION TIME at THE CUTTING CAFE~

Happy Wednesday!!! Phew for a short week, this sure has been a hectic week! Maybe because I'm still trying to play catch up from last week, when my son felt it was necessary to pass on his stomach virus to me!! Boy that bug sure knocked me on my bottom! I hope and pray that none of you out there catches this thing!

Anyways, if it's Wednesday, that means its Inspiration Time over at The Cutting Cafe!!! This week, Regina asked us to use one of her Valentine treat boxes, bags, or pockets. I chose to work with the Heart Pockets, and since I missed last weeks inspiraiton due to illness, I chose to use the Long Sentiment Tags as well. I made this card to send to my mom for Valentine's Day. She loves reading her Bible and motivational books, so thought I wanted to give her a bookmark also. So when I seen the Heart Pockets files and the Long Sentiments Tags at The Cutting Cafe, I knew they would work perfectly together with what I wanted to do!!
I love the versatility of Regina's files. I loved the hearts pocket, but I wanted to position the hearts differently. So, I printed one of the files that was closest to what I was wanting, and then printed another copy for dissection. The first copy I used to make a blank pocket, and the second I used to cut out the hearts for placement onto the blank pocket. Just what I wanted!! And how can you beat 4 pockets for $1.50?? YA CAN"T!! So hurry over to The Cutting Cafe and check out this file along with all the other fabulous printable sets and files that Regina has. Remember that all files come in PDF format and most also come in WPC and SVG formats.
Thanks for looking at my project and don't forget to check out the rest of our teams Inspirational projects!!! Regina always has a great giveaway too...so be sure to stop by and leave your comments ... HERE.

~INSPIRATION AT THE CUTTING CAFE~

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!
Phew we've made it to Tuesday. For some of us, we're having a short week this week, and then next week its back to a full one. I already miss my husband being around the house, the holidays has a way of spoiling us! Today was Christopher's first day back to school after his car accident. It's definitely been a long few months, but a very THANKFUL one more importantly. We've got a few more months of rehab ahead, but he's a strong kid, so I know he'll pull through.  Also..I'm happy to announce that I've been chosen to rejoin the design team at The Cutting Cafe!! I'm so excited to be with Regina and all the ladies once again. I love all of Regina's files and stamps, so it's never hard coming up what to do with them, my hardest choice is which file to use, as you'll see below lol
With that being said, its Inspiration Time at The Cutting Cafe!! This week we were asked to work with the Loopy Loop Bow Flower! I love this file because it's so versatile, and it comes with the bow it two different forms...with the holes and a plain one. This file comes in PDF, WPC and SVG format, for those of us with electric cutters and without. For my bow, I used the PDF file, to show how easy and cute it comes out even if you use your old faithful scissors. This bow will work with whatever project you have going, it's all in the papers you use. So get those Valentine ideas flowing, and fit this lovely Loopy Loop Bow Flower into your sketch!!
For my project this week, I made a little set for my aunt's granddaughter, Olivia. They like to send mail to each other, so I thought they could use this during their craft time while she's at my aunt's house. Olivia has been under the weather recently so I hope this brings a smile to her face :)
and more pictures of inside the box using even more files from The Cutting Cafe!!!

Regina personalized some handmade labels for Olivia to use from the Handmade Just For You Labels
Thanks for checking out my project, and be sure to head over to The Cutting Cafe tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan 4, 2012) for more inspiration and a giveaway!!!

~MERRY CHRISTMAS from Craft Us Crazy and KennyK Downloads~

This week at Craft Us Crazy we've decided to do a surprise challenge and we have a great sponsor to go along with it.....
The challenge this week, is of course...Christmas and/or Humorous for those who might not celebrate Christmas. I would personally like to thank Kenny and Elena for this great image I got to work with this challenge, and I have a few more coming throughout the next two weeks. They're so much fun to play with!! And the winner of our challenge will win 5 digital images!!! So what ya waiting for? Come on over and join us!!

So without further ado, here's Queen's Cutie wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!!
Believe it or not this is the first time I've ever colored a KennyK image. To be honest, I've always been intimidated by them. Never thought I would do them the justice that they deserve, but I do believe that Queen's Cutie turned out pretty nice. So you better believe I'll be adding more of these images to my shopping list!
I tried to make my card look like a present, with the great Loopy Loopy Bow from The Cutting Cafe. This file was another fun addition to play with. I chose to print each of the pdf files off instead of using my cutter. I wanted to see how easy it would be, and I was right, it was just as easy printing and cutting by hand, as it was using my cutter. I really had so much fun making this card. The papers are from DCWV Christmas Stack and I done the "Merry Christmas" with the font Broadway and chose to distress the edges of each layer. Pulled out a button and some twine from The Twinery, and voila! She's ready to go wish someone a very Merry Christmas!!!

I hope that everyone has a very safe and happy holidays over the next few weeks. I wish you all the happiness and laughter that Christmas brings. I pray that everyone has a VERY SAFE and fun New Year's Eve as well. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!!  MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

~Sketchy Inspiration at The Sweet Stop~

Happy Monday!! Well hopefully it'll be a happy Monday for everyone! It's a cold one here in Arizona, so I think a day of crafting and keeping warm is in order!!
I came across a great challenge at The Sweet Stop, a sketch challenge, which I hardly ever do, but I loved this one for some reason. So, I decided to give it a try. I made this card for a dear friend of mine that lost her husband a few days ago. I hope it lets her know how much we're all thinking about her. We love you Mary!

On to the sketch... The sketch below is what we were to follow at The Sweet Stop. We could turn it, flip it, change the shape but needed to stay as close as we could to it, so I believe I accomplished that. Sometimes it's nice to have that inspiration, whether a picture, a sketch, an idea to jumpstart your creative juices.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my card. I appreciate ya taking the time out of your busy day! Have a great week!!

Happy Saturday!! Who's ready for the LSU/UGA game?? anyone...anyone?? I am!! I'm not a LSU fan, but I can't stand UGA, so I'll be rooting for LSU tonight and then waiting for Alabama to roll all over them in the National Championship Game! Anywho..on with why we're here lol
I made this card for a family member that's going through a tough time right now, so I wanted her to know that I was thinking about her. I do believe that this adorable Elisabeth Bell stamp, does just that. Daisy is lost in thought wishing that she could say or do something to make her day a little bit better! Daisy and I hope that we put a little smile on her face, if only for a few seconds.

~Having Fun With Penguins~

Wow it's been awhile. Surprised I remember how to post on here. So much has happened over the past month or so. My youngest son had a wreck last month and it totally knocked the sails out from beneath me, but I think we're slowly getting back to normal again. A few more weeks and he gets his cast off and starts rehab. It could've been so much worse, so we're blessed that he was able to walk away with a few broken bones.

Anyways, with everything going on my mojo totally left me. I wasn't sure when and if it would return. Then an email came through from The Cutting Cafe, and it was some fun new items Regina was releasing. In it was a set called Fun with Penguins, and she was so right, it was so much fun to play with!! As soon as I seen that cute little penguin, something sparked and I had to play with it!!! So with that, I set off to see what fun I could have with him, and fun I had. Put it this way, I think I cut him out with my Pazzles and Make The Cut around 9pm last night and the next time I looked at my clock it was 4:30am. Then I came back in tonight and put him together once everything was good and dry.  Everything I used on my cute little penguin comes in the set, including the sentiment you see on the flag, but you'll have many choices if you want to give as a birthday present and so forth.
I hope you enjoy checking out the pictures and hope you'll check The Cutting Cafe store for your own dose of fun and crafting mojo!!! Most all of the files and sets come in PDF, WPC and SVG format.

~ANYTHING GOES AT CRAFT US CRAZY w/ THE PIXIE COTTAGE~

Phew!! I had to do some dusting around here and getting rid of some cobwebs before I could get in here and do this posting!! It's been awhile and I've missed yall!! Due to some family issues, I've been having a sort of pity party for myself, but I finally decided that I've overstayed my welcome and I had to leave, so I'm back!!! Well for a few months and then I'll be away for a bit because we're MOVING!! We're not sure where yet...gotta love the military lol but we know we have to be there by Jan 3rd. But anyways, enough about me and my glorious life, lets get on to this weeks challenge at CRAFT US CRAZY!

Michelle supplied our DT with some beautiful stamps, and I was lucky enough to work with Hannah sitting on bench, which is now my absolute favorite stamp!! I knew immediately WHO I wanted to make it for, but I didn't know how I wanted to do it, so I went on the hunt for some inspiration!! AND BOY DID I FIND IT!!! So this card was inspired by Anne at Anne's Creative World!! I love finding inspiration, its amazing what creative juices it'll stir up in you when you find that perfect project! I love easel cards, but when I seen Anne's tag behind the image, I thought that was such a great idea, and something I had never done before. So Anne, if you see this, thank you for inspiring this project!!
So we hope you'll join us at Craft Us Crazy this week, and don't forget you'll have an awesome chance at winning a $10 Gift Voucher from Michelle's Scrapbooking & More!

~Lili Of The Valley...Love Grows..Inspired by my fabulous friend Wendy~

Happy Monday night to everyone!!! I swear it's only May 2nd, and it feels like it's been May for a few weeks now. It seems like April and May has been like a run on sentence...here in my home anyways..lol If it's not ONE thing, it's a million I tell ya!! Anyways, I'm running late, as usual, but wanted to post my card that I made for my husband for our 19th Anniversary today and then it's on to another card that I'll be posting hopefully tomorrow...God willing!

Anyways, this card was inspired by my dear friend Wendy, and you can find all her wonderful creations HERE and her Etsy store is HERE! She has been such an inspiration to me over the past year or so since I came across her blog through a challenge she entered, that I will never be able to thank her enough for all her help, tips and advice. I may not always take her shopping advice though..lol I try and she tries to save me money, and my husband thanks her for it, but I'm stubborn in that department still lol So thank you Wendy, yet again for being my inspiration with this project!! You can find her beautiful card that this card was CASE'd from HERE.
So be sure to look at some of those projects folks are entering in all of these challenges. You never know what creative talents you'll come across.
