WHAT A GREAT BIRTHDAY!!!

I wanted to say THANK YOU to Sherry aka DesertBuni and Michele for making my birthday so special!!! Past few weeks have been not so good, so to find these goodies in my mailbox has certainly brought a smile to my face and has given me hope for a better month!! YAY!! You ladies shouldn't have but I'm sooooooooooo glad that ya did!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

I love Halloween, so Sherry sent me a bunch of Halloween embellies..I love the skull stamp lol, Halloween Bling, and Stickers!! STAND AND SALUTE CART!!! I have wanted this cart since it was released!! NEW MOON!!! YEEEHAAAWWWW I can't wait to start reading! Sherry had got me the Twilight book in a swap we done and now sent me this one!! How many other holidays/swaps are there??? lol And the ever so hard to find and sought over, Drippy Goo Punch!...altho I like calling it the Gloopy Goo punch haha

And look at the cutest card Sherry sent me! I do believe it looks just like us Sherry!!! lol Heck they may look a little better than we do! ;o) I'll shake my tail feathers if you promise to get up there and shake yours with me!! Wait a min...I need to get a few drinks in me first!!! But again thank you so much for everything! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your friendship!!!

I received this cute House Mouse stamp from Michele! Anyone that knows me, knows that I have a small fixation when it comes to these little critters!!! I think he's so cute sitting there eating his suckers!! Ahhhh he'll be right at home with his other brothers, sisters and cousins!!

Sewn Together Challenge ~Week 2..9/-9/7~ "Zee Sends a Sweet Delivery"

This weeks challenge over at Sewn Together is to make something using one of Angela's Halloween Images...BUT...you can only use the colors YELLOW, RED, PINK, WHITE, or PURPLE. Wow what a challenge this was!! It really made me think. So below is what I came up with. Be sure to check out Sewn Together every Friday for the Freebie Friday!!! So this week I chose to use "Zee the Ghost" I wanted to do something other than a card, so I figured I'd use one of the mailboxes that Target carries off and on.

The mailbox is covered with a Cricut cut pattern that I received from Leann on the Cricut MB. Papers used are from the DCWV Latte Stack and the DCWV The Fall Stack.

Ribbons were bought from Michaels.

Zee was colored with Prismacolor Premiere Pencils and Gamsol.

Colors used were:

White

Scarlet Lake

Yellow Ochre

Lilac

Pink

Zee was printed 3 times and the layered in areas.

Candies in Zees bag are from the Jolee's Boutique line.."Trick or Treat"

I don't know if I can say this is my favorite image, as I have sooo many that I just love, but as soon as I seen these two images, I knew what I wanted to do. The below digital images are of Tayla the Tiger. Angela has soooo many cute images so be sure to check out Tayla as well as all her other cute characters!!

Card Front....Tayla was colored with Prismacolor Pencils, using the Gamsol technique. She was printed out 3 times and then I cut areas to layer. Taylas witches hat is embellished with 'Yellow' Stickles on the stars and 'Yellow' Ice Stickles on the band of the hat. Papers are from the DCWV Halloween Stack. Photo corners are free hand and then embellished with 'Grape Ice' Ice Stickles. 'Peek A' are some 3 dimensional letters I had laying around that I went over with 'Frosted Lace' Stickles. I used a piece of cord to make the string thats tied around Taylas tail
Inside of Card...Tayla once again was colored using Prismacolor pencils and the Gamsol technique. Layered multiple times to give Tayla a dimensional look of hanging out of the 'Boo'. Papers are also from the DCWV Halloween stack and then inked around the edges with black stamp pad. Pop up feature used on the Boo.

My new adventure...in the land of.....

I received an email Sunday from Angela telling me that I was one of those folks chosen for her new Design Team over at Sewn Together. I'm really excited since this will be my first Design Team and Angela has such cute images in her store. I can't wait to play with them. I've already got a few ideas for some Halloween cards, so I can't wait to share them with you and get your opinions on them! Be sure to check out our other great Design Team Members. Their blogs are in my right sidebar. Very talented women in our group, so I hope I don't let anyone down!

Happy Birthday....

I made this card tonight for my Father in laws birthday. It was totally inspired and cardlifted from Okie over at Okieladybug's Scrap N' More. Ever since Okie posted it on the Cricut MB last year, I knew I wanted to make this card, and who better for, than my father in law lol Thank you Okie for sharing your talents with all of us!

Ok...The mountains, mountains shadow, donkey, and rope was made from the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut cartridge. Sentiment was cut with the Base Camp Cricut cartridge. I'm not sure about the sizes because I used Design Studio to size, but the size of the card is 6 1/2in x 5in, if that helps any. The background paper is from the Debbie Mumm Baby Stack. I went over the clouds with white flock and used black flock on the mane and tail of the donkey. The eye, nose and hooves are accented with Glossy Accents. I went over the rope cut with Westrim Crafts Jute Packaging Twine.

Together Forever

Here's a card I made today for my nephew and nieces anniversary. It was totally inspired and lifted by Donna Mundinger from a card she posted on the CricutMB Card forum. Be sure to check out her blog, Popsicle Toes also!! Her work is awesome! Donna was nice enough to emboss the middle panel for me, and sent me more than enough for all the anniversaries in my future lol Thank you Donna!!

I tried to change it up a bit and make it my own, so it wasn't copied to the T...but hers was so beautiful I didn't want to stray far!

SU! Whisper white cardstock embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and the new Cuttlebug Frame Folder. DCWV paper between the two embossed panels. 'Together Forever' was done with a sizzix embossing folder that Donna was nice to share with me.

Flowers are by Prima, and then gold rhinestones to accent.

Hope I was able to do Donna's card justice!

Friends are Like....

Here's a new card I made today using a digi stamp from Sewn Together. It's name is Cammi Bookworm. Was colored using Copic markers and Prisma pencils. Layered in different areas. Flower from the Daisy Doodles Prisma line. Green background is Tattered Angels Olive Vine Glimmer Mist. Edge border was done using the Scalloped Edge Punch by Martha Stewart. Yellow Stickles dotted along the punched edge.

Thank God For Awesome Friends and Great Garage Sales!!!!!

Cindy AKA Futura on the Cricut MB, PM'd me and told me she was out at garage sales and said she seen something that made her think of me and needed my address. Well today I received an awesome package!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I unwrapped each stamp. I love house mouse and these are some of their earlier stamps. I was even more amazed that out of all the HM Stamps I already have, I had none of these!! I can't wait to use them!! But then I'm always scared of messing them up lol But Cindy made the best card also! The picture just doesn't do it justice. The colors are so vivid and the butterfly looks like it could just fly off the page! Thank you so much Cindy for your kindness and for thinking of me. This was so sweet of you and I will never be able to thank you enough!!! It couldn't have come at a better time!!!!

Sorry So Slow....

Here's a card I made for a friend of mine for her birthday. It was funny though because this was the one time that the post office got the card there ON her birthday lol so kinda deleted the purpose of saying Sorry so Slow lol But anyways, the turtle is a Dustin Pike image. He is awesome!!

I was experimenting with my copics and with layering...I think it turned out alright. i know I have a lot more learning to do though. Coloring was done with Copics and PrismaPencils w/Gamsol. I printed off and colored the image 3 times.
